With anime and live adaptations under their belt, Afro made camping exciting with the popularity of their work, Laid-Back Camp. This time, the same artist tells a story about high school girls who are part of the Cinephoto Club, a combination of the Photography Club and Cinema Club, and their adventures to have fun on the weekends.
This slice-of-life anime explores the girls' everyday lives and scenes from Kofu City in Yamanashi prefecture. They'll use a 360-degree panorama camera and attach a camera to a kite to create a makeshift drone to capture the scenery and all its beauty.
Aniplex, known for its work on Hidamari Sketch and Bocchi the Rock! and other titles joins forces with HOUBUNSHA to work with up-and-coming animation studio Soigne to bring this story to life.
The team working on this includes Ryota Aikei (Jujutsu Kaisen Hidden Inventory / Premature Death and Shibuya Incident) as the director, Takuya Miyahara (Asteroid in Love) for the character design, and Yoko Yonaiyama (A Sign of Affection) for series composition. This is a collective of creatives making their splash in the spotlight now.
